It seem the computer doesn't even detect the problem. If not then is there any other audio drivers I can download that has good quality sound, any recommendations? Edit Just want to point out there is no exclamation mark or any kind of warning symbol next to the driver in device manager.

Is there any solution to this problem with the Conexant driver? The reason I didn't stick with the other driver is because the Conexant driver has better quality sound (when it's working). I've been told it could be a hardware issue but I don't think it is because for a while I've used a different driver and I have never had problems with it.

I've tried uninstalling it and re-installing it, I've tried updating it from the device manager and from lenovo's site (there doesn't seem to be anything on conexant's site) but nothing works. The only way I can deal with this is disabling the driver, re-enable it then restart my laptop. When I go to click on a youtube video or whatever there would simply be no sound coming from the video and I don't know why. I have been having a recurring problem with my audio driver (Conexant SmartAudio HD) basically since I got the laptop, about 2 or 3 times a day the sound would randomly stop working.
